Transparency and Common Foundation
The Bylaws form the legal and organizational foundation of Pawdare e.V. They regulate, among other things, the purpose of the association, membership, the duties of the Board, and the General Assembly.

§ 1 Name, Seat, Fiscal Year
(1) The association bears the name Pawdare e.V.
(2) The association has its seat in Munich.
(3) It shall be registered in the register of associations at the District Court of Munich.
(4) The fiscal year is the calendar year.
§ 2 Purpose of the Association
(1) The association exclusively and directly pursues charitable purposes within the meaning of the section “Tax-privileged purposes” of the German Tax Code.
(2) The purposes of the association are:
The promotion of animal welfare (§ 52 para. 2 no. 14 AO).
The promotion of science and research (§ 52 para. 2 no. 1 AO).
The promotion of education, public and vocational training (§ 52 para. 2 no. 7 AO).
The promotion of environmental protection and sustainable agriculture (§ 52 para. 2 no. 8 AO).
(3) The statutory purpose is realized in particular by:
Support for animal shelters
Free use of digital platforms for the gratuitous digitization of animal shelters and non-profit animal welfare organizations.
The association provides these facilities with tools on a voluntary basis to facilitate their administrative processes and promote animal welfare.
The association does not develop its own software for the market.
Donations and aid campaigns
Organization of donation campaigns, for example, food donations or financial resources for veterinary emergencies, as well as the procurement and free distribution of identification tools such as NFC medallions to animal shelters and animal welfare organizations.
Education and Awareness
Conducting training courses, workshops, and information campaigns to promote socially responsible animal husbandry and to educate the public on animal welfare issues.
Research
Promotion of voluntary and scientific projects that make data usable for animal welfare and ecological research (Citizen Science).
§ 3 Charitable Status
(1) The association is selflessly active; it does not primarily pursue its own economic purposes.
(2) Funds of the association may only be used for the statutory purposes. Members do not receive any benefits from the association’s funds.
(3) No person may be favored by expenses that are alien to the purpose of the association or by disproportionately high remuneration.
§ 4 Membership
(1) Any natural or legal person can become a member. The Board decides on the written application for admission.
(2) Membership ends upon death – for legal entities upon dissolution –, exclusion, or withdrawal from the association.
(3) Withdrawal is effected by written declaration to the Board. It is only permissible at the end of a calendar year, observing a notice period of three months.
§ 5 Contributions
The General Assembly shall adopt a contribution regulation.
§ 6 Organs of the Association
The organs of the association are:
The Board.
The General Assembly.
§ 7 The Board
(1) The Board within the meaning of § 26 BGB consists of:
the 1st Chairperson,
the 2nd Chairperson, and
the Treasurer.
(2) Power of Representation
The 1st Chairperson has sole power of representation.
The 2nd Chairperson and the Treasurer represent the association jointly.
(3) The Board is elected for two years.
§ 8 General Assembly
(1) An ordinary General Assembly takes place once a year.
(2) The invitation is sent by email with a notice period of two weeks.
(3) Minutes of the resolutions of the General Assembly shall be prepared and signed by the respective meeting chair and the minute-taker.
§ 9 Dissolution of the Association and Entitlement to Assets
Upon dissolution of the association or cessation of tax-privileged purposes, the assets of the association shall pass to the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, which must use them directly and exclusively for tax-privileged purposes in the field of veterinary medicine, animal welfare, or research into digitization in agriculture.
